Plex able to transcode Atmos (TrueHD/DTS-MA 7.1) to atmos lossy (DD+ 7.1)? Options?
I’m seeing conflicting answers on this, and hoping for better clarity and understanding. Thanks in advance. My 4k TVs and Roku 4k are all capable of playing lossy atmos via netflix etc, but Plex server seems to transcode TRUEHD to ac3 5.1 and direct plays dts-hd as 5.1, both have all atmos streams removed. I think I’m reading that’s because of a licensing issue and so Plex cannot transcode atmos at all, not even to lossy “tv atmos” version? Can someone definitively clarify and explain for me please? I’d love to enable “lossy atmos” transcoding if it’s possible and I’m just missing a setting or doing it wrong. (I know the best answer is to integrate a shield pro into the playback loop, but I have a few different setups I manage here - and some tech challenged family - so that’s not really that simple. )
Just installed 9.1.1 and noticed that DTS is downmixing to 2.0 Stereo on my LG CX and Sonos Arc Plex app). On v8.x I was able to transcode to AC3 5.1 and still get surround (since the LG OLEDs don’t support DTS). Anyone else able to get this working in surround after the update? Thanks!

Would buying a non DTS supporting TV be a deal breaker for a beam 5.1 setup?
So i am planning to buy a new TV and budget and specs wise I was thinking of going for the LG OLED B2 55inch. I have a PS5 and my wife and I watch movies at home so it seemed like a good TV for us. Now having a beam and a 5.1 setup, i noticed that interesting for this price point the TV doesn't support DTS and only Dolby Atmos. I am not too familiar with the implications or limitations of this decision but for my understanding, the Ps5 and Sonos does support Dolby Atmos so it shouldn't be too much of a problem. Now i did want to ask here if i am horribly wrong and should i buy something else instead?
Day 1 complete , when would DTs appear if they were to happen?
I’ve drank approx 10-12 units daily for approx 10 years and more on a weekend / going out. I manage 3 days and get start getting a dull headache but no sign of owt else except major psychological cravings that usually win. Do they appear sooner or after 3 days? (35m) been trying to stop for a long time , the worry of not being able to stop and potential DTs is scaring me into wanting to stop along with the constant shit feeling every morning - around day 3 I get a dull headache and extreme psychological cravings but no other symptom - should I be suplementing anything / be aware of certain warning signs ? Hi all I have the following setup: TV: Samsung UE43NU7400 (input bitstream audio, digital output audio as Dolby Digital) Sonos Beam (gen 1) and 2 x rear Play 1 Plex media server and Nvidia Shield Pro When trying to play EAC 5.1 I can play this without issues in 5.0, however with DTS I am only getting 2.0 (confirmed from the Sonos app itself). Is there anything I'm missing in the settings? Can the Beam Gen 1 play DTS, or does it downsample it to 2.0 stereo? Thanks in advance.
Good/Best 7.1.2 Atmos, DTS-X, No subwoofer soundbar?
I would like to ask for your advice for a good/best 7.1.2 soundbar with Atmos and DTS-X support, and that does not require any external subwoofer or rear speakers. A "relative small size" ant at least 2 or 3 HDMI would also be appreciated. I know that no external subwoofer and a "small size" are in contradiction with "good sound", but it requires a "Family Acceptance Factor". I was looking at Sennheiser AMBEO Plus, but the reviews I have seen are not very good (sound & only HDMI 2.0a passthrough) at least for its price. I have also seen Sony HT-A7000. They picture it without subwoofer and without rear speakers, but I am not sure if it can be considered a 7.1.2 setup without hem. Probably there is some better soundbar with my requirements, but I have not found it. FYI, in case any model is not worldwide available, I am in Europe. Thanks in advance for your advice.

HyperX Cloud Stinger Core Wireless 7.1 not detected by NGENUITY, DTS Sound Unbound
Title pretty much sums it up. While I've been able to use the headset otherwise, it has never been detected by the NGENUITY app, despite repeated updates and reinstalls. I can't access the equalizer settings, nor can I use DTS:X. I basically don't have access to anything but the most basic features of the headset, which is a real shame. I tried reaching out to support via Twitter, which turned out to be a complete and utter waste of time: The rep told me I needed to test the headset on a different computer. When I pointed out the quite reasonable fact that I only have the one PC, they basically told me they couldn't help me if I didn't try it on a second computer. Needless to say, this is a disappointing approach to customer support. I've finally been able to test it, however! I've borrowed a friend's laptop, and I'm happy(?) to report that the headset isn't detected by HyperX NGENUITY on either device! I'm hoping that by posting on reddit, I'll hopefully be able to snag the attention of a rep (who won't send me on another wild goose troubleshooting chase) and maybe use the features I was counting on when I bought this headset.
